Since 1989, Common Players have been providing theatre productions and activities for communities of the South West, particularly for people with limited access, to see and interact with professional theatre. …..we exist to enable the magic of performance to happen.

Common Players is currently undergoing some exciting new changes in organizational shape and substance, including developing this website.  We’re not idle in the physical world whilst work is happening in the virtual world ‘though theatre productions and activities for rural communities of the South West, particularly for people with limited access, to see and interact with professional theatre.

Recent months have seen:

• The successful tour of Smugglers Gold!

• The winner of the i-pod in the Smugglers gold creative competition- Toby Hancock!

• Pomona our Apple press, squeezing around 2500 litres of Juice in Mid, South and East Devon Communities.

• Work underway through one of our production arms – Uncommon Players  in collaboration with Exeter Northcott on a new production of Educating Rita.  This will open in February 2012 at the Northcott before undertaking a short tour of some of our regions nicest theatres.

• Pomona, our Apple press, squeezing around 2500 litres of Juice in Mid, South and East Devon Communities.
