Out of the mists of time, two figures appear. Old Ma Dob and Idle Jack, the original squabbling mother and son who love each other really.

Of course they don't have a bean to their names.

They've taken to the road, journeying through strange new landscapes. Pushing a pram containing the riches of their past -

Stories of magic boxes, devoted sons and death in a nutshell - tales which are funny and peculiar.

This heart-warming story is the third in our trilogy of new plays looking at themes of the past, present and future. Mother Country tells of Jack coming out from behind his mother's skirts and moving on into his own future.

A delightful and moving celebration of our human capacity to embrace change.
