Common Players and Schools:
Common Players are regular visitors to schools all over the South West. Many local Primary Schools enjoy autumn visits by Pomona, our mobile Apple Press. We have designed a full day's activity working with a Key Stage 2 class to enthuse young people about local apples. We offer a choice of three different Apple Days based around Language, Literacy & Poetry, Art & Design and Health, and Food & Nutrition. In 2005 we ran Bloody Ambition - a "Macbeth" primary school project in partnership with Devon Arts In Schools Initiative. Both our 2007 Apples of the South West and 2008 Tracks and Traces projects have also involved local schools, with lots of creative input from the next generation.
