Marketing Assistant Internship with The Tuck Inn.

Introduction:

Common Players has been successful in securing ACE funding for an ambitious summer touring performance event.

We are offering a paid internship to support this tour of the South West as a Marketing Assistant – this role can be carried out remotely and is an excellent opportunity to develop skills in the promotion of arts and culture and in community engagement.

The project:

Common Players is an arts charity formed in 1989. It was set up to create engaging performances for and with people in communities around the Westcountry. Over the years activities have ranged from outdoor family performances, through participative and educational projects, to indoor touring works about issues and subjects that face rural communities.

We have created more than 25 original productions, often commissioning local writers and employing other professional theatre artists, and at times performing to audiences totalling over 15,000 in any one year.

Summer 2021 will see an ambitious 30 date tour of an outdoor, immersive reimagining of Robin Hood, working with communities across Devon and Somerset to co-create an exciting local event.

The intern will support the marketing of this tour and gain considerable hands on experience of working with a contemporary theatre company.
